New MiniStox Chassis

The Jacklin Racing Team are building a new Ministox for Rob to use in 2007, the old chassis willl then be used by Robs younger brother Sam

Marked in red outline, is the only parts from original Mini Body, the front subframe and bulkhead, and rear subframe. The body has its top half cut off, and tops of the doors welded together to form the shape, the boot lid is also welded to form the structure too.
6th Feb:

Cage and upper chassis now complete

including front bulkhead assembly which remains from road car

Looking into the rear where the subframe is

Floor and seat mounts

Front floor and bulkhead, with steering column mounting bar

Upper body mow attached for a trial fit

all sections of the original body were stitched together to make it one part, apart from the bonnet which consists of the original bonnet and wing tops stitched together

Chassis now painted

this gives a good view of the framework
